colors of my rainbow

I impulsively rushed forward to 'rescue' my little baby but soon stopped short... There he was, perched himself up on hairdresser's high chair,  flashing a cool smile and getting a cool haircut. All on his own! I wondered, where did my bawling at the sight of hairdresser baby go?

I planned a b'day party for him in a park but with a nagging fear, what if my baby keeps clinging to me and doesn't enjoy his own  b'day party? Based on past incidents..my fears were not entirely baseless. Well, frequent sound of giggles and sights of little friends blowing bubble together and having fun times made me wonder how fast time is really flying.

I do sometimes miss his babyness,  but I am really enjoying this growing independence, developing personality, numerous quirks and conversations of my witty  4 yrs old. Sample this:

Shreyas:  Mamma, can I eat pig?
Me: If you want to.
Shreyas: Can I eat chicken?
Me: Hmm.
Shreyas: how about cow?
Me: Ok, do yo want to eat meat?
Shreyas: No Mamma..I am a vegetarian!  *with matching hands and eyes movements*

Life with him is busy, crazy but seldom boring..

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Athletic by nature...He may be just 31 pounds but good at almost every sport he tried so far. Favorite one is still Soccer. He goes to to learn soccer every Saturday morning, and can easily sacrifice his morning sleep for it. One call of "Shreyu, soccer class" is enough to wake him up and get ready under 10 mins. Ah..how I wish he has soccer class every morning.

And I didn't know, 4 yrs old have can make bonds so deep. He made some very good friends in school last year and all from different ethnicity. And Jayden is like brother. Just few months ago, these guys could not understand/speak each others language and now they are more like twins. And incidentally their b'day is just 3 days apart so we had celebrated it together in school as well..

These days, he is fascinated with concept of life and death. I don't know if it is normal for a 4 yrs old to be like that. But that is how it is :) Other day, he told me when he dies he would like to be buried and not cremated. I was shocked by the thought process  but anyways told him to put it in his will once he learns to write because I will be gone long before..Quirky!

Very consistent (definitely on Daddy). When he had started crawling at 6-7 months of age, he used to pick and put only green colored kachra in his mouth. His favorite color is still green .
Same goes for Thomas the tank engine. It was favorite at 2, It is favorite at 4.

I need to do second part of this post so till then here are some colors of my rainbow!

Much love,

Technologically-Challenged Disha opens her mouth to crib about 'complicated' new blogger look but bits her tongue and bows her head instead..
Thank-you blogger for enabling to post x-large pictures now. This was in my wishlist for longest of time. And now she happily hops to post pictures taken in today's farmers market.

And now  if also you enable to post pics side-by-side...

Please..Pretty please,

In the middle of all hustle and bustle of Software release day in office, she heard her phone ringing. Mom's number was flashing on the screen. Her heart skipped a beat. Is everything alright? It must 2:30 AM there. Is Mom alright? Is Dad alright? Why I am so far? Hundreds of thoughts crossed her mind before she picked up her phone.
Call was indeed from Mom and yes it was 2:30 AM in the night. But all Mom wanted was, to see her girl. So daughter sneaked into empty conference room far corner of office and spent next few mins  watching a beautiful face and listening to calming voice over skype. And when she finally came out of conf. room and back into craziness of release day, She was oddly feeling blessed, thankful, loved and re-energized.
Thank-you Mommy for being my energy drink and Yeah Happy belated mother's day!

Much Love,

Sun was blazing furiously as if determined to burn everything in vicinity. In dead of the woods with no traces of visible life, She was dragging herself forward with every ounce of energy left in her battered body.  Broken yet unyielding she wonders, "Is it really end of the world or there is life beyond"? Suddenly she spots lively wild orchids smiling behind a dead looking tree.

 "Yes, life never stops!"

I really wish with all my heart, She comes out of this dead forest very soon to a wonderful world full of happiness and hope. Amen!

Much love,
Disha
